Legion Dinner Raises Funds for Boys State

The Buffalo American Legion began their annual Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser as a way to fund the Veterans of All Wars Memorial on the corner of Fort and Main.

But the event was so popular, they had the memorial paid off in just three years, said Nels Lofgren of the American Legion Post #13 in Buffalo. He explains who receives the funds now.

The American Legion Auxiliary this year chose the local Boy Scouts as their beneficiaries.

The dinner will be Friday, January 28th from 4:30 to 7:30 pm at the American Legion Hall at 18 Veterans Avenue. Dinner includes spaghetti, a tossed salad and dessert as well as a beverage.

Tickets are $7 for adults and $3 for kids 12 and under and are available at the door.

Lofgren explains what Boys State is and how it works.
