From the atrium to the convention center, Sheridan's Holiday Inn is packed with vendors for this year's Rocky Mountain Leather Trade Show.

Ralph Salome, who's with the Leather Crafters & Saddlers Journal, host of the annual event, said the show is sold out. The show continues through 2 p.m. Sunday.

Salome said this is the 26th year for the event, which was started by the owners of the leather crafters magazine in conjunction with the late Don King.

In addition to the show, which opened to the public on Friday, the event includes some 60 workshops that started Tuesday and continued through Saturday.

Those who attend the show can find a mix of products ranging from raw leather and tools to work it to products made from leather.

There are also some gold- and silversmiths on hand, like Kendall Smith, owner of Wildcat Gold and Silversmiths in Montana. He said Sheridan is a mecca for leather workers.

Smith said this is his fourth year to come to the show in Sheridan.

Solome said many of the vendors who come to the annual show have been here before, some of them for the entire 26 years, but there are always new vendors as well. He said about six of this year's vendors are here for the first time.
