A new Center for Law and Energy Resources in the Rockies is being established at the University of Wyoming College of Law. Center Director Sam Kalen says the center provides a platform for engaging in meaningful policy debate to address some of the region’s most pressing energy law and policy issues.

Kalen says the center will sponsor speakers, conferences and symposiums and will build upon the College of Law’s strong academic programs in energy, environment and natural resources. Kalen said that Robert Nordhaus, one of the nation’s leading experts on energy law and policy, will be the inaugural speaker Thursday, April 25, for the launch of the new center.
