Twenty people graduated from this year's Leadership Sheridan County class and were introduced to those attending Wednesday's Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce luncheon.

Dixie Johnson, who's the Chamber CEO, said Leadership Sheridan County is a unique educational program.

She said the goals of the program are to identify future leaders, enhance community and leadership knowledge, establish valuable connections and promote civic and community involvement.

Johnson said Leadership Sheridan has been building foundations in leadership since 1994 and today has over 300 alumni. Chamber President Adam Bunker, who's a past Leadership Sheridan County graduate, said the program is also a great way to learn more about the community.

Johnson said the program is accepting applications through Oct. 31 for the 2018 Leadership Sheridan County class, and she encouraged those who haven't participated in the program to talk to program graduates and enroll. But, she added, class size is limited to no more than 22.

Graduates in this year's program are Oaklee Anderson, Sandy Baird, Kevin Bare, Katrina Brown, Shannen Carroll, Chad Franklin, Dakotah Gali, Ben Hawkins, Mathers Heuck, Rob Johnson, Anne Magera, Genie Mayfield, Elizabeth O'Harra, Ben Reuter, Jennifer Roe, Chele Schamber, Amy Sweckerd, Gail Symons, Cathy Wilson and J.R. Wright.
