LDCC Receives Variance Request

LDCC Receives Variance Request

The Lake DeSmet Counties Coalition Joint Powers Board received a variance request from Dick Hall at their meeting Wednesday. LDCC Administrator Edith Johnson-LaMeres says Hall's variance request pertains to elevation of a residence that he would like to build on three acres of land he owns near the Lake. As far as the details of that request, Johnson-LaMeres explains.

There was some discussion about liability issues with granting the variance.

Hall stated to the Board that he would have no problem with a stipulation placed on the variance that would make him liable for any damage incurred to his home. The Board agreed to make their decision on the request at a later time.
