Two weeks ago, the Sheridan City Council tabled third and final reading of ordinance #2142 due to an amendment introduced that would have done away with the ward representation and went to an at-large City Council. The council felt that they needed a few weeks to hear from their constituents before voting on the amended ordinance.

Council President John Heath says that he has only heard from one individual in regard to changing the council to at-large positions.

The council will also be considering an ordinance on third reading that would establish a downtown development authority. Tonight's meeting will get underway at 7 o'clock on the third floor of City Hall in council chambers. You can also listen to the meeting live on AM 1410 KWYO.
