Land Trust Raises Funds for Matching Grant

The Sheridan Community Land Trust has announced that they've raised $60,000 to meet the two to one matching requirement for a $30,000 grant they received from the Scott Foundation in 2008. Sheridan Community Land Trust Executive Director Colin Betzler says that the funding will help with several of the projects that they are working on.

The Sheridan Community Land Trust was formed in 2005 after community concerns were raised about population growth and the need for preservation within Sheridan County. SCLT currently has an historic preservation easement on the Historic Sheridan Inn and a conservation easement conserving open space and wildlife habitat on Little Goose Creek.
