Knit in Public Week Began Saturday

Looking across from the Safeway parking lot Saturday, one couldn't help but notice a sign announcing “Knit in Public.” Saturday was the beginning of international “Knit in Public Week”, a celebration held the second Saturday in June every year.

Sheridan knitters weren't about to be left out. Donna Stubbs owns the Fiber House on Coffeen and said knitting is all about community.

Knitting is, once again, becoming popular.

Knit in Public Week was started in 2005.
