Kidnapping Suspect Arrested in Montana

The Cody Police Department held a press conference Monday morning to give new details regarding the apprehension of a suspect in last week's kidnapping of an 11-year-old girl in Cody.

The police have not confirmed the identity of the suspect, but the Associated Press reports Jesse Paul Speer was booked over the weekend on a hold for Wyoming with a Bond set at $2 million.

Speer was located by police after law enforcement in Yellowstone National Park were able to provide license plate information for the suspect's vehicle via video surveillance, which ultimately led to his arrest. Perry Rockvam, Chief of Police in Cody, tells more.

The suspect faces decades in prison and thousands of dollars in fines if convicted. Rockvam said the victim's strong testimony aided police in his capture.
