Kid’s Jewelry Making Party

Kid’s Jewelry Making Party

For those parents needing a diversion for their kids, a jewelry making party was just the thing to keep those little fingers busy for a couple hours while they ran those needed Christmas errands. Sheridan Media’s Judy Hagerott stopped by to see creativity at its best.

Saturday morning, Sheridan College hosted its annual Holiday Jewelry Making Party for boys and girls ages five and up. Director Karen St. Clair explained the plan for the morning.

There were hundreds of pearls, gemstones, glass, and crystal beads, in all shapes and colors, for the dozen or so kids to choose from. In addition, there were games, prizes, snacks, and all sorts of party favors to choose from.

Looking around, I noticed there was only one boy in the crowd of girls. Meet Timothy Kidneigh.

His mom Gina went to help with the morning activities thinking other boys would be there.

But like any young gentleman, Timothy made the best of it.

When all was said and done, this young man was pretty proud of what he made.

Hope these sisters know what Timothy went through to make these specials presents.

Cost for the class was $20 per child.
