Kendrick Diversion Bypass Channel Meeting Tonight

The Wyoming Game and Fish Department is holding an informational meeting tonight in Clearmont to update the public on the Kendrick Diversion Bypass Channel built about five years ago.

The meeting will be held at the local library there, and starts at 7. Bud Stewart from the department’s field office in Sheridan called us with the details.

He said the bypass channel was built so the fish could make it around the dam.

He said the bypass channel has been successful in rerouting the fish, then they have access to 34 miles of clear creek before hitting the next diversion dam. He said the species they are seeing include channel catfish, gold eye, shiners and several different types of minnows.
