Keep it Safe Around Railroad Crossings

Operation Lifesaver and Sheridan Fire Rescue would like to remind Sheridan residents to use caution when driving through or near railroad crossings. Fire Marshal Brian Songer says common sense will go along way when it comes to railroad crossing safety.

With school being out, there is the possibility of not only safety issues with kids, but legal ones as well says Songer.

In 2009, more than 1000 people nationwide were injured and 750 were killed at either a railroad crossing or on other railroad property.
