A recent report released by the child advocate group the Annie E. Casey Foundation was very harsh on Wyoming's juvenile justice system. The report indicated that Wyoming spent some $66 million last year incarcerating kids. Sheridan County Juvenile Justice Administrator Neal Madson says that number seems a little high considering what Sheridan County spent last year on juvenile detention.

The Sheridan County Justice Office was created in 1998 and provides juvenile probation, juvenile diversion, truancy probation, adult and juvenile drug court and community service supervision.
