Junior High Students Present Art Works

Visual, musical and culinary arts created by Sheridan Junior High School students will be showcased at the Fifth Annual Art Extravaganza starting this week at the SAGE Exhibit Gallery in the Sheridan College facilities on Main Street.

The show is a collaboration of the Sheridan Artists' Guild and junior high school teachers and their sixth, seventh and eighth grade students.

The art show starts Friday (April 4) and continues throughout the end of the month and features, specifically, the works created by students of Holly Legerski and Mary Lawson.

The reception for the artists and public will be held next week, on Thursday night, April 10, from 5:30-7. In addition to visual art, the reception will feature music, under the direction of Tony Sawyer and Doug Moore. Also for the event, the students in the foods classes of Sandy Birkholz will provide appetizers. There's no admission charged for the reception, or to see the exhibit.
