Judge Enters Not-Guilty Plea Without Appearing In Court

Sheridan Municipal Court Judge Stuart Healy entered his not-guilty plea in circuit court in documents filed by his attorney this week. Healy is charged with two misdemeanors involving an incident last August outside his home.

Two adult teenagers and three juveniles were allegedly confronted by Healy near his home late at night on August 29th. During the altercation, it’s alleged that 65-year-old Healy struck 18-year-old Lane Terzieff in the back.

Healy has waived his right to an initial appearance and the case will move forward in Sheridan County Circuit Court; however, Judge Thomas Harrington from Wyoming’s 5th Judicial District will hear the case. Sheridan County Circuit Court Judge John Sampson has removed himself from the proceedings.
