Johnson County Voters Go To Polls In Tuesday's Primary

During Tuesday's Primary Election, Johnson County voters will be casting votes not only for state and Federal candidates but for city and county positions as well.

In the race for US Senator, Republicans have Emmett A. Mavy and Thomas Bleming Facing off against incumbent Senator John Barrasso.
The Democrats have Al Hamburg, Tim Chesnut and William Bryk running against each other for the right to run in November.

For US Representative, Republican incumbent Cynthia Lummis and Democratic challenger Chris Henrichsen will move on to face each other in the general Election in November.

In the race for State Senator from District 22, Republicans John C. Sciffer, incumbent, and challenger Bob Johnson will decide who will move on to the General Election.

For State Representative from District 40, incumbent Mike Madden is running unchallenged.

In the local races, for County Commissioner, incumbent Albert “Smokey” Wildeman will face challengers Charles “Chuck” Bidonde, Russ Humphrey, John Lueders and Jim Hicks.

And in the Buffalo City Council race, two seats are open and those running are current Councilmen Bill Hawley and Richard “Scott” Madsen.

Also, a number of Voter Precinct Committeeperson races will be filled.
