Johnson County's Commissioners.

The Johnson County Commissioners, at their Tuesday meeting, accepted the resignation of Dave Spencer from the Planning and Zoning Commission.
They also officially accepted the resignation of Margaret Smith-Braniff from the commission.

The commissioners then decided to draft letters to thank both of them for their many years of service on the commission.

They then turned their attention to filling the three vacant seats on the commission.

Four persons submitted letters of interest for the three open positions. They were Richard Frankovic, Albert “Smokey” Wildeman, Travis Pearson and Robert Pfister.

The three commissioners each had a different combination of applicants they wanted for the commission.

After some discussion, Commissioner John Gibbs moved to appoint Wildeman, Pearson and Pfister to the commission, and they were approved on a 2-1 vote with Chair Delbert Eitel voting no.
