Johnson County Extends Contract For 4H Educator

Johnson County Extends Contract For 4H Educator

The Johnson County Commissioners, at their Tuesday meeting, approved the contract extension between themselves and the University of Wyoming for 4H Extension Office Educator Rachel Vardiman.

The new contract, for fiscal year 2014, is an extension of the existing contract with no changes, according to the commissioners.

Johnson County will pay four quarterly payments of $5,825, half of Vardiman's salary under the contract.

Also approved by the commissioners was Resolution No. 483, adopting the 2013 Hazard Mitigation Plan for the county.
The plan was sent to FEMA earlier this year for their review, which they approved without any changes.

The county, City of Buffalo and Town Of Kaycee must all adopt the plan to make it “official,” and make the three entities eligible for FEMA funding in the future.

Buffalo's city council approved the plan at their meeting Tuesday night.
