Johnson County Commissioners Meet New GIS Specialist

Johnson County Commissioners Meet New GIS Specialist

Johnson County's new GIS (Geographic Information Systems) Specialist, Jim Waller, was officially introduced to the county commissioners at their meeting March 6.
Waller started his position March 1, and has been busy adjusting to the new job in the County Planning Office.
He told the commissioners he has been busy learning the county's system and County IT Specialist Rande Money has been helping to get him adjusted to the programs and data systems.
Waller said he has downloaded data that will be helpful in the county's GIS data package and has noticed some problems with data in general, but nothing that he says can't be corrected.
