Johnson County Asks For Re-Bids For Fence Project

Johnson County's Commissioners, at their last meeting, opened bids to re-install fencing along their property line between the new judicial/justice center and the WyDOT property on Fort Street.

The bids were for installation of 385 feet of fence only, to WyDOT specifications, with WyDOT supplying the materials.

Two bids were received by the commission, one from Splint Memmer with Circus Cowboy Co. for $4,060.02 and one from Vic Goni of Powder River Fencing for $4,995.

Some questions were brought up during discussions as to whether or not each bidder knew exactly what they were bidding on, and if that was the reason for the disrcepancy on the bids.

The commission decided to ask the bidders to re-submit their bids with a “not-to-exceed amount” and have them re-file them.

The commission gave the chair approval to sign the low bid when they are submitted.
