Johnson County Approves CMAQ Contract For 2013

The Johnson County Commissioners, at their meeting this week, approved County Road and Bridge Supervisor Scott Pehringer to enter into the annual CMAQ (Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality) program contract with the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT).

The annual contract provides funding on an 80/20 local match for counties to deal with dust abatement on county roads affected by energy development and other industrial activity.

Johnson County will again expect to receive $300,000 in Federal funds through the state, and along with their local match of $75,000 will have those funds for dust abatement in the county for 2013.

The commissioners approved the chair to sign the CMAQ agreement.
