JoCo Looks Into Employee Drug Testing

Drug testing for Johnson County employees looks to be one step closer to being implemented after a testing company presented information on their testing experience and policies at the Commission meeting last week.

Cori McCue, with Occupational and Correctional Solutions from Sheridan, gave a short question and answer session to the commissioners, explaining to them how to implement the testing program.

The County is looking at starting a drug testing policy, which would include pre-employment drug and alcohol testing and random testing during their employment.

The testing company will be presenting more information to County Attorney Ken DeCock for him to review before he sends it to the Commission for their consideration, probably at the April 5th Commissioner's meeting.
