The Wyoming County Commissioners' Association will be conducting a feasibility study for a Wyoming Counties Pooled Health Plan, and the Johnson County Commissioners at last week's meeting decided to participate in and cooperate with the study to see if the pool could save the County money in the future for providing an employee health care plan.

Commission Chair Smokey Wildeman explains more about the feasibility study and how Johnson County would need to cooperate with it.

Commissioner Delbert Eitel said from his understanding, this healthcare pool program had good rates and that the pool would be a good benefit for the counties that decide to get involved all over the state, not just Johnson County.

Commissioner Johns Gibbs said in the meeting that the commissioners will know more on the pool program and who may or may not be interested in it at the upcoming Legislative session, which gets under way in February in Cheyenne.
