Jo Co Commission Approves Budget At Monday Meeting

The Johnson County Commissioners, at their special Monday meeting, approved their budget for FY 2013-14, using all of their available 12 mills and accepting a total appropriation of just over $40 million.

The county commissioners approved the final budget for FY 2013-14, broken down as such:

General Budget was for $15,505,652.03 plus $17,505,845.77 in reserves, plus $2,944,787.34 in perpetual funds, plus $220,697.91 in reserves for the Johnson County Fair Board, and $670,485 in reserves for the Library Board and $259, 135 in reserves for the Jim Gatchell Museum give the county a Total General Fund of just over $36.9 million.

Adding $1.4 million in 1%/use taxes and $94,500 in Emergency/911 reserves and $1.3 million from grant funds brings the Total Proposed Appropriation for FY 2013-14 to $40,010,240.75.
