Jo Co Approves Grant Application for Juvenile Service

A grant application for juvenile services in Johnson County was approved at last week's county commission meeting.

The request was made by County Attorney Ken DeCock, who explained the program to the commissioners.

The Fund 58 Grant was approved through the Wyoming Department of Family Services in the amount of $28,333 to help the county set up its proposed mentoring program.

A number of different entities in the city and county will be on board with the mentoring program including the sheriff's department, police department, the Department of Family Services, the schools and public health, and they all gave their support of the grant.
