Jeep Accident Ends Tragically

Tragedy came to a young married couple in the early morning hours of Saturday, October 2nd. Detective Sgt. Tom Henry with the Sheridan Police Department describes the incident.

Jacob Burnett's wife, 26-year-old Jamie Burnett, was driving the Jeep Wrangler at the time of the accident. She was initially arrested and charged with DWUI, but due to the circumstances, she was cited, released, and transported to Sheridan Memorial Hospital.

Detective Sgt. Henry says that Jacob Burnett was pronounced dead some time later in the weekend. Because alcohol was involved, he tells us.

The autopsy was to be scheduled for sometime Monday in Billings.

my condolences to the families.. for a small town sheridan sure seems to have alot of DUI incidents. I wonder how it compares to the rest of wyoming per capita??
