Board Discusses Employment, Resignations

The last meeting of the Johnson County School District Board had a light agenda but still took more quite a while to work through as they discussed policy changes and heard a few reports from administrators present.

Most administrators were busy with parent/teacher conferences and weren't present at the meeting, but the board did hear reports from Dr. Jeannie Iberlin; Andrea Gilbert, Principal at Kaycee School; and Superintendent Dr. Rod Kessler.

Much of the meeting was used to review and discuss proposed changes to their own Leadership Governance Policy.

Employment recommendations and resignations were also accepted by the board.

Ed vonHolst was accepted as Head Boys Swim Coach for Buffalo High School, replacing Marcia Gaines.

And the resignations of Audry Elm as bus driver in Kaycee and Gloria Forbes as custodian in Kaycee were also accepted.

The next meeting for the school board will be Monday, November 11th at the School District offices beginning at 6pm.
