District Approves Isolation, Employment, Gifts

In a quick meeting Monday night, the Johnson County School District One board of Trustees approved a number of items while working through a short agenda with few administrative reports.

Appoved were an isolation request from Dale Graves for one child on the Barnum Bus Route, and an employment recommendation for Keri Malson as a part-time bus driver in Kaycee.

The board also approved gift certificates as a staff appreciation gesture for the Holidays. The gift certificates will be for $15 per staff member, and all staff both full and part-time will receive them.
Traditionally, according to District Business Manager Matt Ramey, the district will spend anywhere from $3,600 to $4,200 each year on the gift certificates if approved by the board.

Also discussed was the upcoming December 9th meeting, where the board entertains nominations for their officers, assigns committee members and set thei meeting schedule for the following year.
The annual audit report is expected to be given at the meeting in December as well.
