JCHC to Set Strategic Plan Work Session

The Board of Trustees for the Johnson County Healthcare Center discussed their need to update their Strategic Plan, and tried to finalize a date to do so.

Board President Dr. Mark Schueler said the board needed to review and update their strategic plan, and it should probably include the entire board in the discussion.

Wikipedia defines strategic planning as the process of defining direction and making decisions allocating resources to pursue this strategy, involving setting strategic goals and determining actions to achieve those goals.

Board members thought later in the fall would probably be best for most of them to attend the workshop, and Healthcare Center CEO Sean McCallister said holding off until November would be fine, and would give the board the opportunity to review and measure the facility's progress and performance against their strategic plan and update it when the work session is complete.

After discussions, the board approved setting a date in November for the work session.
