JCHC Second Financial Forecast Is Positive

The Board of Trustees of The Johnson County Healthcare Center got a positive second financial forecast of FY2013 at their last meeting.

Hospital Administrator Sandy Ward said the healthcare center is doing well financially so far this fiscal year.
There has been a steady increase of in-patient volume in the last five months, and accounts receivable is $912,000 above the forecast.
Ward said the facility's “cash position is doing well.”

Net profit so far is at $2.1 million even though outpatient numbers are down and clinic visits are down.
All-in-all the year looks to be a good year financially, and will stay that way if volume remains good through April, May and June.

The administration re-budgets and re-forecasts financial reports every four months, Ward said.

The board approved and accepted the latest financial forecast.
