JCHC Board Votes To Go To Five Members

The Johnson County Hospital District Board of Trustees has voted to go to a five-member board, down from its current 6-member board, although no one will lose their current board position.

At their recent meeting the board was informed that state statute requires special district boards to be either 5 or 7 members, as explained by Hospital CEO/Administrator Nicole Hobbs.

After discussions the board decided to go to five members, which means the current six members will continue to serve until the next election cycle in two years when the board will officially go to five members.
