JCHC Board Reviews Employee Pension Plan

At their November meeting, the Board of Trustees for the Johnson County Healthcare Center discussed their employee pension and possible changes in how the pension contributions will be withheld going forward.

Administrator Nicole Hobbs explained that currently, the JCHC makes contributions on paper monthly to the plan, but only pays them out in December.

The board discussed the specifics on the pension contribution further.

Hobbs recommended the board make the pension contribution in January and then discuss changing the look at potentially reducing the pension contribution for the remainder of the fiscal year unless the facility's cash flow issues improve.

The board approved the pension contribution for January and for Hobbs to continue with accruing the contributions every month, and paying them out at the end of the year.
