It might have been a small beginning, but the turn-out was great Friday and Saturday for the Indian Market held in the parking lot of the historic Train Depot on Fifth Street.

Held in conjunction with the “People of the Buffalo” Art Show, the market began with five booths, then tapered down to three by Saturday. Edre Maier says it was a great opportunity for the Native Americans to showcase their work.

One booth serving up Indian tacos, another booth featuring jewelery, and then there was Jeanne Eder Rhoades with her sister Frandi Cellen, both from Billings. They recycle old leather-tooled hand bags.

Hopes are to make the Indian Market an annual event. The “People of the Buffalo” Art Show and Sale ends on the 27th of this month.
