From lean business practices to the need for branding your business, photoshop to Blockchain, Sheridan businessmen, and women, spent the day learning how to make their businesses better Thursday at this year's Ignite Your Business conference.

Teresa Detimore, who's program development director for the Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce, said 120 attended this year's event.

Among attendees was Kay Roush from First Federal Bank and Trust, who had just come from a session on Blockchain and Bitcoin. She said that was very interesting.

Roush said First Federal sent eight employees to the Ignite conference this year.

Trainers this year included Jason Wille with Range Telephone, whose session was about how to effectively talk about your business. Wille said he's talked at other conferences before, but this was his first time at an Ignite event. He said the event was great.

He said he would be at the conference all day, because he was interested in networking and learning from other trainers as well.

The day's events included a buffet lunch and a bonus session presented by Scott Lee of Scott Lee Leadership Consulting, who talked about making powerful connections with others.
