On Tuesday the Wyoming Senate “laid back,” or delayed on its second reading House Bill 82, which will authorize the building of a state-run veterans skilled nursing facility in the state.

The site for the facility, as of now, is Buffalo.

The bill was delayed to allow a further look into the viability of having the facility in Buffalo.

State Senator Dave Kinskey explains why some in the senate wanted a delay in the second reading.

On Wednesday, the senate was again scheduled to bring the bill up for its second reading, which proceeded with no issues.

Senator Kinskey said if the bill passes on third reading, then the real work needs to begin.

House Bill 82 was passed on to a third reading, which is scheduled for Thursday on the floor of the senate.
