Amended SFC Bill Passes House, Would Fund Coffeen

In the latest development during months of uncertainty about the project, Coffeen Elementary is tentatively set to be funded for rebuild in all three phases - planning, design and construction - in 2013-14.

Rep Rosie Berger tells us that Senate File 105 passed in the House Appropriations Committee Friday, 7-0 as amended.

Prior to the amendment the School Facilities Commission's initial budget would have allocated money for Natrona County School District renovations, skipping over Coffeen and other state school district projects on the year-to-year priority list. The bill must pass three readings in the senate this week before it's finalized.
