Hospital Foundation to Hold Partners Breakfast Next Week

The Sheridan Memorial Hospital Foundation will host the annual Partners Breakfast next week.

The event, which recognizes hospital employees who are members of the hospital foundation, will be from 6:30 to 9 a.m. next Thursday.

In a report to Sheridan Memorial's board of trustees Wednesday night, Ada Kirven, who's the foundation's director of donor relations, said in addition to being recognized, the foundation partners vote on one of three projects to be the recipient of the funds they contribute to the foundation.

Kirven told trustees that, this year, more than 500 hospital employees have become foundation partners, and their contribution to the foundation this year is about $43,000.

Kirven said this year's breakfast will be followed by a tour that will include the hospital's cath lab and intensive care unit.

Cody Sinclair, who's the hospital's chief development officer, said as of Wednesday's board meeting, the foundation has raised a little over $252,000 for the new equipment to be purchased through Project Heartbeat. The goal for the campaign is $300,000.

In a report on the hospital's finances, Chief Financial Officer Nathan Stutte said revenues were a little bit soft in October. But, he said, overall he was fairly pleased with the financial picture for the month.
