The Sheridan Memorial Hospital Board of Trustees held a special meeting Wednesday where they approved several renovation projects. Trustees approved approximately $130,000 to renovate existing space in the Emergency Department to offer urgent care. Hospital CEO Mike McCafferty.

McCafferty said that they expect to see about 25 to 30 patients a day at the urgent care facility, and that they plan on being open Monday through Saturday between the hours of 10 am and 8 pm. Urgent care will be available at Sheridan Memorial late summer or early fall of this year.

Just over $69,000 to expand the Sheridan Women's Clinic was also approved.

Lastly, the Board approved funding to move Bighorn Mountain Medicine into a bigger facility for the next couple of years.

McCafferty said that the move is just a temporary solution for the next several years until long term economically feasible solution is approved.
