Hoop Jam Takes Center Stage

In 2000, Wyoming Rehab of Sheridan Memorial Hospital created the Wyoming Rehab Hoop Jam 3-on-3 basketball tournament as a means to provide an athletic trainer to the school districts around Sheridan County.

Wyoming Rehab Manager Jeanne Brooks said that currently, the proceeds from Hoop Jam back to Sheridan High School.

Last year was the first year the tournament was held at the Sheridan High School parking lot, and Brooks talks about the benefits of holding the event at the high school.

Hoop Jam will take place all day Saturday and Sunday at the high school, and will feature approximately 800 participants from the region. Brooks said there will be a BBQ and 3-point contest tonight at the high school.

Registration for the 3-point contest will be at 5 pm with the competition set to begin at 6:30. The BBQ and packet pickup for participants will begin at 5:30 pm. If you are unable to pickup your packet tonight, you will be able to do so Saturday morning beginning at 7:30 at the headquarters tent.
