Two historic structures in the Bighorn National Forest are available for public rental. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter has the story.

Located 30 miles west of Buffalo, Sheep Mountain Lookout was built in the 1950's, that due to its high elevation, offers views of surrounding peaks in the Cloud Peak Wilderness and the Powder River Basin. The lookout is accessed by Forest Service Road 28 and accommodates up to four people. According to a media release from the Bighorn National Forest, Sheep Mountain Lookout can be rented from June 15 through October 31 for $50 a night.

Pole Creek Cabin, also built in the 50's, is located off of Forest Service Road 456, about 22 miles west of Buffalo. The cabin has been refurbished and can be rented year-round for $35 a night. More information about the amenities at either location can be found by clicking here.
