The Hillslide Stabilization Project in Sheridan is about a month behind schedule due to the weather.

City Councilman Aaron Linden says that the project to fix the slide area near Sheridan Junior High School and Kendrick Park is still expected to be substantially complete this fall despite the project taking longer than expected due to an overabundance of rainfall.

The project, which began in late May, was expected to be complete this month. The contractor is scheduled to be on site through October to finish the majority of the project. Some of the aesthetic work may need to be completed in the spring, depending on how cooperative the weather is over the next month.
