Help Johnson County Public Health While Getting Flu Shots

Those who decide to get their annual flu vaccine this year can also help their local Public Health Office while doing so.

Johnson County Public Health will be having and emergency preparedness exercise along with an all-day flu clinic on Wednesday, October 2nd.

The exercise will help public health staff prepare for an emergency that requires the entire county to be vaccinated.
They are asking as many people as can make it to come in on that day to get their flu vaccine, with their goal at 200 vaccines.

Those that do come in on that day are eligible to win a $100 Amazon Gift Card, and receive swag and treats as well.

The cost for the flu vaccine is $25, or they can bill Blue Cross/Blue Shield. United Healthcare, or Medicare/Medicaid.

Again, the flu clinic/exercise will be Wednesday, October 2nd from 8am to 5pm, and they will remain open during the lunch hour.
