Earlier this week we reported on several aspects of the health care industry, including how Obama Care and Recovery Audit Contractors are and will continue to have a profound effect on the future of the health care industry. Today we conclude our series on health care with a look at how the new law may adversely affect the City of Sheridan. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter has more.

City of Sheridan Human Resources Director Heather Doke recently spent some time in Cheyenne to attend the Society for Human Resource Management Legislative Conference. One of the many things that were discussed at the SHRM Conference was the impact the new health care law will have on municipalities and their employees.

Doke says that during the conference she learned of some bad news regarding Obama Care and how it will adversely affect the insurance of the City's 182 full-time employees.

Doke said that those changes won't go into effect until 2014, and that she will continue to keep a close eye on the law and any changes that may be made to it between now and 2014.
