Hand In Hand Center Hosts Grand Opening

Children have been attending the Hand in Hand Early Childhood Education Center since September. For the last couple of months they’ve been working out all the kinks and settling in to the new facility constructed by the Sheridan Economic and Educational Development Authority. Mark Englert is president of the Sheridan Quality Child Care Initiative board which runs the Center.

Several hundred people attended the Center's Open House last night, which also showcased two sculptures to be erected at the Center. They were donated earlier this year by the Sheridan Arts Committee. Englert says it took hundreds of people working very hard to get to this point.

In addition to providing much needed child care openings in Sheridan, the Center is already training new educators with interns from the University of Wyoming and Casper College joining the staff this semester.
