A Halloween Tradition: Buffalo's Monster March Tonight

Buffalo's Monster March 2015
Buffalo's Monster March 2015

The annual Halloween tradition in Buffalo, the Monster March, will be this afternoon downtown.

Children from all over the area can dress up as their favorite monster, cartoon character or whatever their imaginations can dream up, and march through downtown to trick-or-treat local businesses for candy, treats and other goodies in a safe setting.

Angela Fox, CEO of the Buffalo Chamber of Commerce, tells us more about one of Buffalo's favorite annual events.

The Monster March will be from 4 to 6 this afternoon.
Kids and accompanying adults should line up at the courthouse area near Main Street just before 4 o'clock and prepare to march on the west side of Main Street to Angus Street where they will cross Main and head north to finish at the Chamber of Commerce.

Street closures including Main Street from Fort to Angus and East Fetterman to the alley, already approved by the city, will help insure everyone's safety while rick-or-treating.

All kids are encouraged and welcome at the event.
