Governor Signs Proclamation for SBDC Day in Wyoming

Gov. Mark Gordon has signed a proclamation designating Wednesday as Small Business Development Center Day in Wyoming.

Jill Kline, who's state director of the Wyoming SBDC Network, said the state network has helped and supported over 47,000 Wyoming residents during the last 24 years, helping entrepreneurs start or grow their businesses through nine regional offices across the state.

She said in 2018 alone, the network helped more than 1,300 entrepreneurs resulting in more than 100 new businesses and more than 1,400 jobs created or saved. Capital impact to Wyoming's economy was over $10 million.

Kline said SBDC Day is an opportunity to celebrate Wyoming's small businesses and their successes.

The Wyoming Small Business Development Center Network is a partnership between the University of Wyoming, the Wyoming Business Council and the U.S. Small Business Administration.

The center provides business expertise to help Wyoming entrepreneurs think about, launch, grow, reinvent or exit their businesses.
