Governor Signs “Healthy Frontiers”

Governor Dave Freudenthal signed off this week on the “Healthy Frontiers” plan, a state pilot project geared towards preventative healthcare. Now that this legislation has the Governor's signature, those working at least part time, but that don't have health insurance, can enroll in this program:

Governor Freudenthal adds that the purpose of the “Healthy Frontiers” program is to “control costs by keeping people healthy”:

In addition to being uninsured and working at least 20 hours a week, individuals must have an income at 200% or below the federal poverty level to qualify.
