Wyoming's 32nd Governor, Matt Mead gave his “State of the State” address Wednesday to a joint session of the Legislature in Cheyenne. Early in his address, Mead said that he will stay true to his platform that he outlined during his campaign.

Mead also stressed that Wyoming needs to diversify its economic base by recruiting computer data centers that would offer new jobs.

Mead also proposed earmarking some of the state's mineral revenue directly to local governments, highways and the state's rainy day fund over the next seven years. He said his proposal would give about $52 million every two years to each group and to the state's rainy day fund.
