Wyoming Governor Matt Mead announced the formation of a unique collaboration between the State of Wyoming, the City of Cheyenne and F.E. Warren Air Force Base.

The goal of the collaboration is to prevent underage drinking and to encourage responsible drinking by adults. Mead says that underage alcohol use and abuse by adults is an issue that needs to be addressed in Wyoming.

While the collaboration is between the state, the City of Cheyenne and the Air Force Base, Mead stated that the program will produce data for communities across Wyoming to keep citizens safe, especially young adults.

The program will focus on prevention, education, media involvement and enforcement. The Department of Justice's Office of Justice Programs provided funding for the project.
