Wyoming Governor Matt Mead, in a media release from his office concerning the latest forecast from the Wyoming Consensus Revenue Estimating Group, says the forecast of state revenue flows flattening out calls for the state to be careful with its spending.

Mead explains.

The report said that the decrease in oil an natural gas production is one reason for a predicted state economic decline, and though there is a forecast of oil production in coming years, Mead says that the state shouldn't rely too heavily on spikes in energy production.

Mead added that his challenge with the legislature will be to focus on things like roads, towns, and counties because these will provide return on investment both to local governments and to the state.
